How it works
Two keys. Different jobs.
Your public key encrypts. Your private key decrypts. You can share the public key; keep the private key to yourself. Lost private keys cannot be recovered.
The file stays with you.
OpenPGP encrypts the file in your browser and produces a .pgp file. Decryption uses the matching private key and checks the file’s integrity before releasing it. Nothing is uploaded.
You can also decrypt a .pgp file someone sends you. They encrypt it with your public key; you open it here with your matching private key.
A temporary workspace.
Ironclad keeps no key vault or file history. Refresh clears the session. Your downloaded keys and files remain yours.
Up to 100 MB per file. A private-key password is optional under Advanced. Protected keys need that password to decrypt.
